Today at school we did a few drafts of faces (our own, and friends) and this is the actual first face I painted (I asked the teacher if I could keep the sketch, because he was collecting all them at the end of the class). After playing around with it in Photoshop I ended up with this.

I’m still not done with it, but I wanted to post a WIP version of it before going to sleep:

This is my second sketch for Dudebro II, the game project over at the NeoGAF boards. The first sketch was for the exploding snowman, this time is an sketch for the final boss, Bro-Ken Angel.

Still a work in progress.

Soldier Concept Art 2

Here are a couple extra sketches I have for my soldier. I can’t still decide on which head design to go with, but it will most likely be something like my older soldier concept (the one on the top right in this picture) but with different eye lenses. Probably some lenses like the ones on the bottom left sketch.

Any extra suggestions? :)

This is a concept art sketch I did during class today (took me about 40 minutes) using the Open drawing project, Alchemy. This will be the base concept art I will use for my final sketches for one of the ’sides’ of the battle that will happen in my game. I’ll explain more about this in some entry, someday :).

Holo-Table Concept Art

This is the concept art for one of the props on my new school game: Citizen Project. I plan on developing it all myself during this next year, so wish me luck!.

Here is one of the first sketches to get some idea and practice before I start doing all the main stuff. After I get a couple props done and looking nice, I will start with the characters!.

This first concept sketch is for one of the various props around the map in the game. It’s a Holo-Table, which I loved from the movie Avatar. Tried to make my own version and now I’m working on the 3D model!.

Painting Fundamentals training

Today I found a very interesting video-tutorial by the artist Marco Bucci where he gives, in ten minutes, a few good tips regarding painting, light and warm colors, shadows and more. I also happened to use his actual brush set, but you can do this with any brush already available within Photoshop, or look for any other brush sets on the internet.

My first training is pretty much the same drawing that he made, but I will try and paint my very own stuff from now on.
