This is a model I did today at school. It’s part of a scene we have to do for one of our classes, nothing really ‘big’ though. The model has 248 triangles and a 512×512 texture that might be reduced to 256×256 once the whole scene is done, to reduce the loading time.
Some two weeks ago or so, teddybergsman over at Polycount released a great script for Photoshop to make normal maps, called nDo. Jump a a week and a half (that is, about three days ago) when I decided to leave the Unity3D engine and jump into UDK instead, where I could get better visuals for [...]
Yeah.. I’m not really doing one (lack of time and there are already enough Halo comics around), but I was bored this morning and decided to do a small template of a couple weapons and an E.V.A suit. Good thing about this style is that you can draw it so fast and easy :P. Definitely [...]
Here I will keep updating with the process of creating my 3D environment for the current school project. I will also update with whatever things I feel like commenting about what I’m doing. You can also follow this same content on the polycount boards where other people might be commenting and giving helpful tips that [...]
It has 142 triangles and two textures (one, the green light, is used for some other stuff as well), plus the normal map for the pack texture itself. I’m still not sure I’ll be using this, as it’s not that easy to tell it’s a health pack, but then again I don’t want your typical [...]
Here are some environment sketches I’m doing for my next 3D environment (to use in the game entry I posted some weeks ago).
Today at school we did a few drafts of faces (our own, and friends) and this is the actual first face I painted (I asked the teacher if I could keep the sketch, because he was collecting all them at the end of the class). After playing around with it in Photoshop I ended up [...]
Here are some environment sketches I’m doing for Dudebro II. The visual style of the environments is much more serious than what the environments will actually look in 3D, but at least they work to get an idea of the very general mood. This first sketch is for one of the corridors in Stage 1-2. [...]
This is my second sketch for Dudebro II, the game project over at the NeoGAF boards. The first sketch was for the exploding snowman, this time is an sketch for the final boss, Bro-Ken Angel. Still a work in progress.
Here are a couple extra sketches I have for my soldier. I can’t still decide on which head design to go with, but it will most likely be something like my older soldier concept (the one on the top right in this picture) but with different eye lenses. Probably some lenses like the ones on [...]
Here are some (one as of right now, but will keep adding new more) of the models I’m doing for my own school project. All the renders with the UDK logo means that the renders are made within UDK using materials created in UDK too, using my own textures made in Photoshop. This very first [...]
Here is a 3D sketch I did today. Took me around 40 minutes after playing with Zsketches and other new tools in Zbrush 3.5.
I will keep updating this post entry with new models once I get them done. All the 3D model are made for a free game over at the NeoGaf boards called Dudebro II. To see new models, go to the bottom of the entry!. The model for the Proximity Mine has exactly 60 polygons and [...]
This is a concept art sketch I did during class today (took me about 40 minutes) using the Open drawing project, Alchemy. This will be the base concept art I will use for my final sketches for one of the ‘sides’ of the battle that will happen in my game. I’ll explain more about this [...]
This is the concept art for one of the props on my new school game: Citizen Project. I plan on developing it all myself during this next year, so wish me luck!. Here is one of the first sketches to get some idea and practice before I start doing all the main stuff. After I [...]
Today I found a very interesting video-tutorial by the artist Marco Bucci where he gives, in ten minutes, a few good tips regarding painting, light and warm colors, shadows and more. I also happened to use his actual brush set, but you can do this with any brush already available within Photoshop, or look for [...]
A character sketch for a Gate Keeper. Not meant to be used in anything, just another drawing. I’m leaving it still in the ‘rough sketch’ step, but I might add some more details and color sometime.
This is one of the sketches for an open project over at the NeoGAF boards. I know it might be a little bit late for snowmen, but oh well, Happy New Year to everybody and I hope to see more people around here this year!.
An old sketch I had around. First I created the Magma Golem and then did a color change to create the Crystal Golem. Both were made during a brainstorming session for a school project.
You might remember this weapon from a few posts ago. Exactly this one. Anyway, now I made the weapon in 3D to use it in the group project (a 3D game) I have to do at school. Because of the limitations we have (the game has to be playable on all the computers at school), [...]
